Safety
Responsive, reliable, and with superb road holding, the Hyundai Accent Atlantic is designed to offer excellent driver and passenger safety. A host of safety features are offered as standard. These include power steering, adjustable head restraints, driver and front passenger airbags, three 3-point rear seatbelts and Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD).
Anti–lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
Hyundai's state of the art Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) prevents the wheels locking up in an emergency braking situation. The Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) uses sensors to determine where the braking force needs to be distributed to meet the road conditions. Together these systems make braking more precise and effective whilst increasing stability under heavy braking.
Body strength
The Hyundai Accent Atlantic features reinforced bulkheads, pillars and side impact bars and a stiffer front sub-frame, while crumple zones and load diffusion paths have been optimised through extensive crash testing.
Immobiliser
The Hyundai Accent Atlantic's sophisticated immobiliser uses a transponder-equipped key, antenna coil and EMS to ensure that only the original key can be used to start the car.
Remote central locking
Remote central locking operated from a key fob comes as standard for increased convenience and security. (Key design may vary from image shown).
Seating
Front seatbelts include pre-tensioners with load limiters, while the front seating also incorporates adjustable head restraints, plus airbags for driver and passenger.
